Every week a new travel photo is selected as
the Photo of the Week. The author is notified, the photo appears on the Worldisround
homepage for a week and is added to the Photo of the Week Gallery
for eternity.
- How we pick the Photo of the Week

Only travel photos are considered for the Photo of the Week, not personal photos.
The PotW is picked based on aesthetics, interesting subject matter and personal bias.
(Michael, the CEO of Worldisround, is now in charge of this selection process.)
Selection has nothing to do with the age or popularity of the photo.
We now steer away from authors who have already had a PotW so that more people get
a chance at the limelight, but every once in a while we'll allow a comeback for a great
photo.
